Artificial Intelligence (AI) Usage Policy
In accordance with guidelines from COPE and the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), Tourist Destination has established the following rules regarding the use of generative AI tools in academic writing and peer review:
1. DIRECTIVES FOR AUTHORS
- No Authorship for AI: Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) cannot be credited as authors or co-authors. AI tools cannot take legal responsibility for the work, hold copyrights, or sign conflict of interest declarations.
- Disclosure: If authors use AI tools for drafting text, generating data, or creating graphics, they must declare this in the "Methodology" section of the manuscript. They must state the tool name, software version, and specific purpose of use.
- Liability: Authors are fully responsible for the academic integrity of the manuscript. They must ensure AI-generated parts are free of plagiarism, hallucinations, and inaccurate references.
2. STIPULATIONS FOR REVIEWERS
- Confidentiality Breaches: Peer review is a confidential process. Reviewers must not upload submitted manuscripts, abstracts, or data to AI engines. Doing so violates the intellectual property rights and confidentiality of the authors.
3. GUIDELINES FOR EDITORS
- Editorial assessments must rely on human expertise. Editors must not use AI tools to automatically reject or evaluate submissions without human oversight.
