Corrections, Retractions and Post-Publication Updates Policy
Maintaining the integrity of the published scientific record is paramount. Tourist Destination applies COPE standards when dealing with post-publication changes, errors, or ethical problems.
1. CORRECTIONS
- Erratum: Published to correct significant formatting, printing, or layout errors introduced by the publisher.
- Corrigendum: Published to correct errors made by the authors (e.g., incorrect author names, data errors, or formula typos).
- All corrections are linked to the original article and archived. The original PDF may be updated, but a clear explanation of changes remains visible in the correction notice.
2. RETRACTIONS
Articles will be retracted in accordance with COPE guidelines if:
- There is clear evidence of plagiarism or copyright infringement,
- The findings are unreliable due to scientific misconduct, data fabrication, or honest calculation errors,
- The manuscript constitutes redundant (duplicate) publication,
- Unreported conflicts of interest significantly bias the study.
Retracted articles will remain online, but they will be clearly marked as "RETRACTED" with a watermark on the PDF and an explanatory notice published on the article landing page.
