Repository and Self-Archiving Policy
Tourist Destination supports the green open access model and allows authors to self-archive different versions of their work in institutional, subject-based repositories, or personal websites. Our policies based on Sherpa Romeo standards are:
1. PREPRINT (SUBMITTED VERSION)
- Definition: The original draft of the manuscript before peer review.
- Policy: Authors retain the right to archive and share preprints at any time on personal websites, preprint servers, or institutional repositories without any embargo period. A link to the journal submission should be included.
2. POSTPRINT (ACCEPTED VERSION)
- Definition: The manuscript version incorporating peer review revisions, before layout editing.
- Policy: Authors may archive postprints immediately upon acceptance, provided they cite the forthcoming publication in Tourist Destination.
3. PUBLISHER'S VERSION (PUBLISHED PDF)
- Definition: The final formatted PDF with page numbers, layout, and journal branding.
- Policy: Under the CC BY 4.0 open access license, authors can distribute the final publisher's PDF on institutional archives (such as national university repositories) or academic networking sites (ResearchGate, Academia.edu) immediately upon publication, provided they include the DOI URL.
